I enjoyed a spacious room with lovely views over farmland, and the breakfast selection was good with attentive staff. There were challenges with food and drink availability , and I noticed the absence of changing facilities for babies, which could be improved.

No complaints whatsoever, the venue met the demands. I was travelling to Ilminster for a wedding ceremony. The rooms of the hotel were unique and absolutely perfect with an amazing view and a large bathroom. The location was stunning and wonderful there, by the evening entertainment. Further, it was near to restaurants, the grounds and the local council. The restaurant had warm food.

Dillington house is a fine place with beautiful grounds that offer a peaceful spot to relax. We had a lovely experience with the staff, especially the guidance we received . The excellent building felt grand, as if the gentry of bygone ages were watching over us.

missingWrote a review on 08 Declarge roomvast selectiondilapidated facilities
The room was large with a wet room and an upgraded space that provided ample room to spread out. The breakfast area had a vast selection that could accommodate a large group comfortably.
The hotel seriously needs to upgrade its facilities. The room felt stuck in the 1950s with poor decor and a standard double bed that didn't match the size of the room. The outdoor areas were unkempt with debris in the water feature and walkways showing signs of neglect. Only one towel of each type was available in the room. The car charging point was inoperative.

Facilities in dire need of improvement!!! Rooms feel stuck in the 1950s with dated decor, insufficient towels, and poorly maintained outdoor areas with debris in the water feature. Car charging station didn't work!!!

The excellent architecture and tranquil grounds provided a good backdrop to the stay. While the room was spacious and impeccably clean, food and bar service were limited due to a large wedding event, disappointing. The breakfast offerings were decent, but the absence of cheese sandwiches, advertised, was notable. Improvements could be made in ensuring food availability for all guests, particularly during peak events.

great spot for exploring ilminster and nearby attractions
The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Ilminster Arts Centre just over 2 km away, and the fine Barrington Court, a lovely park, is only about 4 km away. We enjoyed our spacious and clean room that offered lovely views over the surrounding farmlands which added to our relaxing stay.

I loved the beautifully served meals , especially the delicious puddings that were hard to resist! The relaxing library and cozy fire in the entrance hall made it a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. Just a heads-up, the parking area could use a little sprucing up, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊
